Vimshottari Dasha is the most widely used timing system in Vedic astrology — a 120-year cycle divided into nine planetary periods that indicate when different areas of life come into focus.

Your first Dasha is set by the Nakshatra your Moon occupies at birth, so two people born days apart can be in very different periods. From there the sequence runs in a fixed order.
